All roles are flexible and part-time — fit them around your own schedule. No experience is needed for most roles; we provide full training and support. See the Get Involved! tab for why our volunteers love it here and how to apply.
On-Site Volunteer
Be the friendly, welcoming face of the Centre.
- Warm welcome & site tours for hirers and visitors
- Manage opening & closing routines to keep the building secure
- Light cleaning and restocking supplies
- Basic fire safety checks
Volunteer Caretaker
Use your trade skills to keep the Centre safe and functional.
- Minor plumbing, electrical & building repairs
- Facility upkeep across the hall, kitchen & communal areas
- Bin cycles, restocking & room setups
- Spot and flag safety issues
Volunteer Grounds Keeper
Keep our outdoor spaces safe and welcoming all year round.
- Winter gritting and snow clearing
- Sweeping and clearing debris
- Weeding, pruning & general garden upkeep
- Litter picking & keeping entrances clear
Volunteer Community Liaison Manager
Be the voice connecting the Centre with the wider community.
- Build partnerships with local shops & organisations
- Drive community outreach and awareness
- Help organise community events
- Gather resident feedback to shape future services
Volunteer Bookings and Venue Manager
Keep our booking system and venues running smoothly.
- Manage enquiries & the Hallmaster booking system
- Main point of contact for hirers, start to finish
- Ensure rooms are prepared and event-ready
- Basic invoicing & reporting
Volunteer Marketing and Social Media Manager
Be the face and voice of the Centre online.
- Create video content — including being on camera
- Run our daily social media accounts
- Manage email newsletters & digital ads
- Local flyering & posters
Volunteer Events & Team Manager
Lead our events programme and mentor the coordinator team.
- Recruit, train & mentor Event Coordinators
- Co-create fundraising events with the Fundraising team
- End-to-end event execution
- Host weekend private hires
Volunteer Event Coordinator
Help bring our events to life on the ground.
- Plan and help run community events
- On-the-day hosting & guest greeting
- Room setup & decoration
- Work alongside the Events and Fundraising teams
Volunteer Centre Manager
Lead day-to-day operations and look after our volunteer team.
- Volunteer recruitment, onboarding & support
- Manage rotas and shift cover
- Champion our supportive culture
- Oversee day-to-day site operations across teams
